At Sea Otter, we are fostering a lifelong passion for cycling and offer countless opportunities to progress on the bike.
 
From balance bikes in the Family Zone to testing themselves on Fort Ord’s flowy single track, Sea Otter is where kids of all ages can hone their skills.
 
Explore all of the ways kids can have fun on bikes at Sea Otter!

FAMILY ZONE

Not your average playground! The Family Zone allows kids twelve and under to try out their budding bike skills on obstacles appropriate for their age and riding level in a fully enclosed location. 

DAILY FAMILY ZONE RACES

Every child is a winner in this age-appropriate competition. Kids maneuver through a course carefully designed to stretch skills and build confidence.

Daily in the Family Zone
1 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Open to kids aged 12 and under
No registration and no entry fee

KIDS RACES ON THE TRACK

The world-renowned Laguna Seca track is the stage for kids to test their skills in races for ages 6-10.

Starting at the track’s turn 4, kids will pedal their way around the track for a ¼ mile race. These races are part of Sea Otter Classic’s progression for kids, from starting at the Family Zone and building up to the Fuego Short and Juniors categories across gravel, downhill, and more.

Races are complimentary and no registration needed.

 

OFF-ROAD TOUR

Whether you’re looking for a family-friendly adventure or a mellow weekend spin with friends, the Off-Road Tour offers a welcoming, supportive environment with no pressure from the clock, just fun riding bikes! With 2 separate distances to choose from, an 17 miler and a 10 miler, there’s something for all skill levels.

FUEGO SHORT

Kids just want to have fun too and with a longer course for 2025, the Fuego Short lets them stretch their legs even further. Starting and finishing at the Sea Otter Classic Bridge, this 6-mile circuit is the right amount of challenge for budding racers.
