We asked for your Sea Otter stories, and you answered! We received so many amazing stories from Sea Otter over the years. Every one is unique and special, so it was really hard to choose amongst so many amazing experiences.
With that said, we’d like to introduce you to one of our many contributors, the DiBlasi Family.
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share with you the incredible experience my family had at the Sea Otter Classic Bike Festival; a journey that left us amazed with unforgettable memories.
As newcomers to the Sea Otter Classic, we were welcomed with open arms into a community with passion and friendship. The warmth of the atmosphere was felt from the moment we arrived, instantly making us feel at home amidst fellow enthusiasts and professionals.
The heart of our adventure lay in the races for each member of our family. Both my wife and I fearlessly took on the challenge of the downhill races, embracing the thrilling terrains and pushing our limits with every twist and turn. Our kids standing on the side of the course cheering us on during the practice and race day.
Meanwhile, our three adventurous kids—Grayson (11), Cora (8), and Elliot (7)—embarked on their own journey of excitement by participating in the daily BMX track races. Their youthful enthusiasm and spirited determination painted smiles on their faces as they reveled in the thrill of the competition, supported by the cheers and encouragement of the vibrant crowd. The youth area was something we traveled to daily where the kids would ride the pump tracks, eat food truck treats, and get fully immersed.
Between practice and the race day, the festival's vendor field became our playground of discovery. We immersed ourselves in a world of innovation, exploring a myriad of new and exciting cycling products. Engaging with experts and fellow cyclists fueled our curiosity, providing us with insights and knowledge that invigorated our passion for cycling. We had waited several months to purchase a few products knowing there would be Sea Otter show specials. Thank you Altangle Cycling for the sweet bike mount!
But it wasn't just the races and products that made our experience remarkable; it was the vibrant energy of Campsite H that truly made our four days unforgettable. Some had told us it might be a little extreme for our young family, but it was right up our alley. Amidst the tents and twinkling night sky, we created lasting bonds, cooked great food, and created memories that will remain etched in our hearts for years to come.
Thank you for allowing us to share our cherished memories from this extraordinary experience. We look forward to more adventures this coming April 2024.
