Every spring, the cycling and outdoor world comes together on the California coast for the Life Time Sea Otter Classic. Some come to race. Some come to ride. Some come to discover the latest bikes and gear. Some come for the trails, the people, the traditions, or simply to be part of it all.
Meet us in beautiful Monterey, California, for four days built around a shared love of bikes and playing outside. Race across eMTB, gravel, and mountain bike disciplines. Take it at your own pace on a recreational ride. Hit the trails by foot at the Trail Run. Test the latest gear and connect with 1,100+ brands at the Sea Otter Expo.

One festival, 14 races. With distances and disciplines for all abilities and experiences, we welcome and celebrate all racers! Races include gravel, cross country, downhill, dual slalom, enduro, eMTB.
Leave your watch behind! Traverse Monterey’s iconic and breathtaking scenery with two Gran Fondos. And explore the trails of Fort Ord with the Off-Road Tour, perfect for families, friends, and e-bikes!
The newest addition to the Sea Otter family: the Trail Run. With two distances, we invite you to explore Fort Ord’s spectacular trails by foot! Open to runners, hikers, walkers, families, and strollers (6k only).
The latest gear is at your fingertips. With four Ride Zones, open for kids and adults to test out the newest bikes, helmets, seats, packs, and more, Sea Otter is the perfect place to try something new!
EXPO
Visitors can watch exciting trials shows, see the newest gear and win swag while strolling the world’s largest consumer bicycle expo featuring over 1,000 brands. With all the autograph sessions, parties, and product demonstrations happening, no other event allows visitors such close access to their favorite brands and cycling heroes.
FAMILY ZONE
Supreme fun happens in the Family Zone! The Sea Otter Classic is a family event with loads of special activities for kids. Generations have learned how to ride a bike and improve their skills at Sea Otter. All children ages twelve and under get a free Festival Pass and can compete in kids races, ride a pump track, enjoy carnival games and more! Best of all, Skipper the Sea Otter hosts an annual Egg Hunt. Your little ones will love hunting for eggs around the Family Zone and the chance to find eggs with prizes inside!
Life Time Members Early Access Registration
Life Time members — after six months of Club-Access Membership — get entry to our athletic events one week before the event registration opening to the general public or guaranteed registration in lotteries*.
