Yoga at Sea Otter
Poses will have you seated, on knees, balancing and standing. This class allows beginners as well as the intermediate yogi to advance in their own practice. No experience is necessary. Classes are focused on generating movement throughout the body using basic sun salutations, incorporating lengthening and opening muscles in a way that restores your stressed body.
Rita Leon has been teaching yoga since 2005. Her training is vast and extensive, starting in Yoga Fit’s 200hr teacher training, she has taken additional trainings that make her style unique and enjoyable for everyone. Rita has also been a competitive cyclist and has a level III cycling coach certificate through USA cycling. In addition she has extensive first aid and safety experience. Over the past few years, Rita has traveled throughout California, Utah, and New Mexico to various cycling events and races teaching yoga for cyclists. This year she is returning to Sea Otter to offer more of what she shared with last year's participants but will offer afternoon classes to make it more accessible to all Sea Otter participants. Classes are designed to meet the needs of the beginner to the well practiced. Using basic sun salutations the flow is catered towards strengthening and rejuvenating weakened muscles and the tired mind. We hope to see you there!
