For the 2008 Sea Otter Classic, all Team/Tech Support registration will be handled by downloading and faxing the contract to Skip Latham at 831.373.1089.  Please review all of the information on our website before beginning this process.

Team/Tech Support space is again being offered to qualified trade teams that have a team racing at the Sea Otter Classic and can provide a team roster to the Trade Show Services Director. Team/Tech Support qualification also includes registering for a minimum of a 20’ x 20’ space in rows 500, 600, 700, or the product demo area.
 
For the 2008 event, Team/Tech Support space is broken down into zones with associated pricing based on the zone location in the Festival Area. The space pricing matrix is listed below showing the different Trade Show zones (space #’s) and the prices.  Please view the Exhibitor Map to reference the different zones.
 
The Product Demo area has also been moved to a new location for 2008. The Product Demo area is located next to Sponsor Row 700 in the Festival Area. The Product Demo area was moved in an effort to enhance the ability of our Trade Teams and Exhibitors the chance to get their products into the hands of the consumers, athletes, spectators, and other industry attendees.
 
The demo area will circle the Ride Zone, which will provide a new bike riding skills area featuring small jumps, obstacles, a pump track, and other riding tests. Sea Otter Classic personnel will manage the Product Demo area providing waivers to all demo participants, marked riding courses (road and MTB) and course maps.

 EVENT SCHEDULE INFORMATION:

The Sea Otter Classic is a 4-day event for both competitive events and the Marketplace exhibits.  The hours of the Marketplace are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.  The hours on Sunday are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in an effort to allow those travelling a chance to get on the road.  Please see additional information about the Marketplace and Team/Tech Support below.
  • Team/Tech Support Check-in begins on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 beginning at 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and continues on Thursday, April 17, 2008 from 6:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m.  Earlier arrival ckeck-in dates/times are allowed but please coordinate with Skip Latham at 831.373.1860 to arrange. Team/Tech Support trailers will be allowed to park inside Laguna Seca beginning on Monday, April 14, 2008.  Once the event ends on Sunday, April 20, 2008, Team/Tech Support trailers and vehicles can be left at Laguna Seca Recreation Area until Monday, April 21, 2008 at 5:00 p.m.
  • PARKING PASSES and EVENT WRISTBANDS will be issued when you check-in unless previous arrangements have been made.  If any support staff arrive late, they must pick up their WRISTBANDS from WILL CALL.  Please provide a list of the late arriving guests to Skip Latham at  skip@seaotterclassic.com  TEAM/TECH SUPPORT ARE ENTITLED TO 2 PARKING PASSES AND 6 EVENT WRISTBANDS PER CONTRACT.
  • Security will be on-site from approximately 6:00 p.m Wednesday, April 16, 2008 through the close of the event on Sunday, April 20, 2008.  The Sea Otter Classic will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items and doesn't recommend leaving any merchandise in an unattended booth.
  • PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE VENUE DURING THE SEA OTTER CLASSIC.  This is a Monterey County Parks Department rule.
  • Vehicles will not be allowed to load or unload during the Exhibit hours.  Set-up must be completed before 9:00 a.m.  Tear down must commence after 6:00 p.m.  Vehicle restrictions will be enforced including a 20-foot Fire Lane requirement throughout the venue.  NOTE: New this year will be a DESIGNATED DROP OFF AREA for Team/Tech Support that bring booth goods to the event after the marketplace has closed to vehicles.  Sea Otter Classic personnel will assist those Team/Tech Support personnel getting the inventory to their booths using golf cart like vehicles.
  • ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES are allowed at the Sea Otter Classic by adhering to the following conditions.  Private parties and gatherings within the festival venue must have an ABC licensed caterer serve the alcoholic beverages (beer and wine only).  Alcoholic beverages in sigle-serving containers designated for limited personal use are permitted in the campsites and within the exhibitor and team/tech support areas.  BEER KEGS are not considered acceptable for limited personal use.  Alcoholic beverages cannot be served to anyone under the age of 21.  Alcoholic beverages can only be sold be pre-approved vendors.
  • SEA OTTER CLASSIC RECYCLING EFFORTS: Please come prepared to the event to assist us in our recycling efforts.  We will be separating as much waste in the form of paper, cardboard, plastics, and aluminum and placing it in approved containers throughout the venue.  When the event is concluded, please do not leave behind unwanted articles that may have been used for booth construction like furniture or plywood.  We appreciate your cooperation helping the Sea Otter Classic be an environmentally friendly partner with the Monterey County Parks Department.
