Mountain Bike Magazine Off Road Tour to benefit IMBA California.
Please make an online donation to IMBA California - a non-profit educational association that organizes advocacy and trail building efforts statewide and strengthens California's mountain bike clubs. You can make this donation when you register online.
Saturday, April 19, 2008 Start Time: 9:30 am
Enjoy trails around the Fort Ord BLM Area in 2008! Along the way you will have the opportunity to choose two different routes (20 mile and 10 miles) depending on the distance you want to ride. The shorter 10 mile loop is mostly fire roads with a litle bit of singletrack and is ideally suited for beginning off road riders. More experienced off road riders can choose the longer 20 mile distance with some extra sweet singletrack riding that Ford Ord has to offer! Whatever distance you choose, these dirt rides are a fun way to be part of the Sea Otter experience.
A note of caution - very little of either the Off Road Tour distances are suitable for trailers and/or children under the age of 10.
Early entry fee: $55.($70 after March 20; $80 after April 4)

Sea Otter and the Bureau of Land Management - a Model Partnership
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) welcomes you to Fort Ord and the Monterey Peninsula and asks that you tread lightly on the land when you compete and train. As the premier conservation agency In the United States, the BLM sustains the health, diversity, and productivity of public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations. To preserve these trails at Fort Ord for future riders, please stay on marked trails only and avoid cutting across switchbacks, and braking and riding over open terrain. Trails can be damaged by riders using them when they are wet and muddy. When training for competitive events at Fort Ord, always remember to share the trail and yield to other users. To learn more about these spectacular lands, contact the BLM at (831) 394-8314 or visit www.blm.us.gov. We hope you enjoy your visit!
