Mike McCormack and Wendy Booher added to team

Monterey, Calif. (October 22, 2012) - The Sea Otter Classic is pleased to announce the addition of Mike McCormack and Wendy Booher to the event's communications staff. McCormack and Booher together replace outgoing communications coordinator Donna Brown.

"Donna's contributions over the past several years have been invaluable to our success. She's been a key member of our team and more importantly, a good friend - we miss her already," offers Sea Otter marketing director Jeannie Pruitt-Retamoso, "Change is inevitable though, and we're excited about the addition of Mike and Wendy to our team and the fresh perspectives each brings."

Author of Sea Otter's successful social media launch in 2010 and 2011, McCormack joins the Sea Otter from Eagle, Colorado agency Uncommon Communications. He'll be tasked with the coordination of the event's vertical and non-endemic media outreach. In addition, he'll facilitate the integration of attending and non-attending media with event sponsors and exhibitors.

Wendy Booher returns to the Sea Otter Classic after a one-year hiatus in order to oversee the event's media room and event calendar. Joining Sea Otter initially in 2002, Wendy worked for the event both onsite and remotely through 2010. In addition to managing public relations outreach during that period, Wendy orchestrated year-over-year attendance of teams of international journalists and photographers onsite, steadily building global coverage of the event.

Sea Otter recognizes that rapidly evolving landscape of media requires specialists in the field. McCormack and Booher's addition to the communication staff are effective immediately and reaffirm Sea Otter's longstanding commitment to delivering value to the event's partners and participants.
