Lumos Inc., creator of KT Tape, is excited to announce new cycling specific resources and products at the 2010 Sea Otter Classic April 14-18. All 9,000 cyclists competing in the Classic will be supplied with the revolutionary solution in drug-free pain management. In conjunction with the Classic, KT Tape announces the addition of Dr. Hal Rosenberg as a cycling expert on its Advisory Board, and KT Tape will be partnering with the Sea Otter Classic event medical staff to make KT Tape applications available to all athletes.

Well, two Specialized-sponsored events at the 2010 edition of the Sea Otter Classic are giving you the opportunity to ride along side some of the best riders in the world while taking in the breathtaking scenery and surrounding Monterey, California – and not have to worry about being lapped or out-classed - These rides are all about the fun.

At the 10th National Bike Summit on March 9, Bikes Belong unveiled a new campaign: peopleforbikes.org. The goal of peopleforbikes.org is to gather a million names of support, to speak with one powerful voice —to make bicycling safer, more convenient, and appealing for everyone.

From the initial BMX frame welded by namesake Gary Turner in 1973 to recent release of the world's first Carbon fiber downhill bike, GT has a long legacy of fabricating fast-as-hell bikes.. Along the way, we've managed to help a number of riders win World Championship titles, achieve icon status, and pretty much define what it means to take a progressive approach to riding a bike. All the success hasn't gone to our heads, though - we've still got as much fun as we do fast. But don't take our word for it. In addition to featuring the newest bikes in GT's line-up, GT's Sea Otter booth has all sorts of stuff you can do to get your fun on – come on down and see for yourself.

IMBA staff, members and corporate partners will be out in force at the Sea Otter Classic, April 15-18 in Monterey, CA. Join us for several opportunities to connect with fellow riders and many of the leaders in the California mountain bike industry.

March can represent different things to riders, depending on what part of the country they're in. The emergence of spring, to some, signifies longer riding days without worrying about bringing lights and reflective gear on a training ride. To others, March represents the simple possibility of riding in general, as spring emerges from behind winter's snowy shroud.

The 20th Annual Sea Otter Classic will be held April 15-18, 2010 at the Laguna Seca Recreation Area, Monterey, Calif. The four-day "Celebration of Sport" is considered the world's largest cycling festival, hosting nearly 10,000 professional and amateur athletes and 50,000 fans. This year the Sea Otter Classic will not only be hosting the best cyclists from around the globe they are also supporting the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund. The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund provides financial assistance and quality of life solutions for Marines, Sailors and other military personnel from the Army, Air Force and Coast Guard who served in support of Marine Forces, and were injured in post 9-11 combat or training, or diagnosed with life threatening illnesses, and their families. Our fund provides relief for immediate financial needs that arise during hospitalization and recovery as well as perpetuating needs such as home modifications, customized transportation and specialized equipment.

When 65 members of the Northwest Festival Hosting Association convened in Leavenworth, Washington on a chilly January morning, changing the lives of 14 young people was not written into the day's agenda.

With assistance from the Specialized Dealer Grant Program, local Specialized dealer Der Sportsman, and Repario (a Nevada based leadership counseling firm) however, the usual droll of networking and idea-swapping in Leavenworth's Bavarian-inspired setting was trumped by tears of joy and the smiling faces of 14 children.

Long-standing IMBA Corporate Members Specialized and FOX Racing Shox recently renewed their commitment to provide support for IMBA California's successful statewide advocacy program dedicated to preserve, protect and enhance great riding experiences. Under the guidance of policy director Tom Ward, IMBA California has established a successful model for regional advocacy -- today there are five IMBA regional directors working to increase riding opportunities throughout the U.S.

The Little Bellas, a popular, all girls mountain biking program run by pro sisters Lea and Sabra Davison, are bringing a camp to mountain biking's biggest festivial, the Sea Otter Classic. This all girls camp will be an adventure in mountain biking designed to get girls hooked on the sport and engaged in the Sea Otter Event. We will focus on improving skills and having fun.
