The Sea Otter Classic Media Center is run by an experienced staff of reporters and public relations professionals committed to assisting members of the media gather information and write stories while on site. We also offer a range of services to assist media outlets that are covering the event remotely including daily press releases with a recap of the day's pro events, general event and race photo's, logos, and in some cases, time permitting, photos and quotes of hometown favorites.
Below is a list of services and advice to assist with arrival, information gathering, and filing stories.
ACCREDITATION, CREDENTIAL PICKUP & PARKING PASSES
Credentials and Parking Passes are available for collection in the Media Center. We strongly advise that media representatives pre-register for credentials through the Media Center at www.seaotterclassic.com. This will facilitate rapid check-in on arrival at the venue, getting you quickly out there into the action, and making sure there are plenty of provisions throughout the day. Day-of registration is available but expect delays at check-in if you have not pre-registered. The press accreditation process will begin in January, 2008. Please note that the number of accreditations available to the media is limited to 300 in order to maintain a high level of service to the attending press.
MEDIA CENTER
The Media Center offers credentialed reporters food, drinks, power outlets, and WiFi Internet access. Please bring wireless cards/laptops with wireless modem. Please note: There are no phone lines available. As of 10.06 the location of the Media Center is at the Red Bull Energy Center.
Please ask at the media center for:
- Good shooting locations & detailed course and venue maps
- Athlete, team, and event organizer contacts
- Media shuttle schedules
- Access to all on-course transportation for road and off-road cycling events (no unauthorized road or off-road access)
- Online and paper results
EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY AND LOGOS
High-resolution image files covering all aspects of the event are available: race action, bicycle technology shots from the expo, panoramic and scenic shots, etc. Logo artwork is available on request.

ENTRY LISTS, START LISTS & RESULTS
Entry lists, start lists and race results are available for viewing on the Media Center page at www.seaotterclassic.com. Paper start lists and results will be available in the Media Center information area.
MEDIA CENTER COMPUTERS
There will be no onsite computers this year. Journalists should bring their own laptop computer for writing articles about the event.
