All road race categories will start on Laguna Seca Raceway. You then travel down Barloy Canyon Road to the classic Fort Ord 8.5 mile+/- race loop. After completing the required laps for your category, you will then climb back up Barloy Canyon to its crest for a mountain top finish.
The Sea Otter Road Race is part of the NCNCA BAR Series and the Lance Armstrong Junior Olympic Series.
- Entry Fee: $45 per rider (add $20 late fee after March 15, 2009)
- Entry fee includes an Athlete Hospitality Bag plus a four day Festival Pass valued at $30. Parking is FREE all week.

Important Registration Information:
- NO SAME-DAY REGISTRATION. YOU MUST REGISTER THE DAY PRIOR TO YOUR RACE DAY.
- Pre-Registered athletes can pick-up numbers up to 1 hour before your race start time.
- USA Cycling Sanctioned. Riders must present a current USA Cycling license at registration. You can purchase a one-day permit on-site (Cat 5 ONLY).

- No phone or faxed entries will be accepted.
- If you do not register online before April 12, 2009 you must register on-site beginning April 15, on a first-come-first-served basis.
- Competitor age is determined by the age of the rider on Dec. 31, 2009.
General Event Rules:
- All fields are limited. Please register early. In the case of small fields, categories/classes may be combined.
- All participants will sign a waiver/release form at registration. Those under 18 years old require a parent's or guardian's signature - who must be present at Athlete Registration..
- ANSI or Snell approved helmets required for all events.
- Race numbers may not be cut, folded, altered or defaced in any way.
- All USA Cycling rules apply.
- Sorry, no pets allowed at the event. (Monterey County Parks Department regulation)
- Merchandise orders can be picked up near Athlete Registration and merchandise pick-up hours may be different than those of Athlete Registration.
- All information in this program is subject to change.
- Please verify your start times and other critical event issues when checking in at registration.
- SORRY, ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS.
Awards:
- Medals will be awarded 5 deep and merchandise prizes may be available for some categories
- Awards presentations on the Main Awards Stage approximately one hour after your race finishes.
- All protests must be filed with the designated PROTEST OFFICIAL within 15 minutes of preliminary TOP TEN Awards results posting. Complete preliminary results will be posted onsite near the Main Stage and available on www.seaotterclassic.com immediately after the event on Monday April 20, 2009.
- Official Final Results will be posted and available on www.seaotterclassic.com after the event on or before Friday April 24, 2009.
- All protests must be filed with the designated Protest Official within 15 minutes of preliminary Awards results posting. VERY IMPORTANT - After competition day, only protests outside of the TOP TEN MAY be accepted at the discretion of the Chief Official and/or Race Organizer and results MAY be adjusted up until the FINAL OFFICIAL posting on or before April 24, 2009.
- All signed, official results are FINAL and will not be changed - NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Athletes must be in attendance at the Awards Ceremony to receive prizes.
- Awards will not be mailed - NO EXCEPTIONS.
