The SRAM NRC Circuit Race for elite road cyclists - the one day classic continues in 2008!!! The NRC Circuit race will wind around the Laguna Seca Raceway with its challenging 300-foot climb and high-speed Corkscrew descent. This event will showcase the teams to thousands of fans all around the Laguna Seca Raceway track. When registering for the NRC Circuit event you will receive a complimentary entry to Sunday's Century ride through the Salinas and Carmel Valleys and over the Laureles Grade.2008 NRC Entry Fees:
- Professional Men's and Women's Early Entry Fee: $66 ($81 after March 20; $91 after April 4)
Team Managers:
- NO Managers Meeting in 2008 - 2008 NRC Event Technical Guide is posted above.
- All PRO-road ONLY parking passes and W-9's must be picked up at Athlete Registration.
- $23,000. in cash prizes. $15,000 for Men - $8,000. for Women. Prize breakdown is posted within the Technical Guide.
- 180 person field limits for both men and women. Individual entry - limit of 8 athletes per team.
- Sprint, Climbing and Best Young Rider (under racing age of 23) Competitions - specially designed jerseys awarded.
Registration and Packet Pick-up Hours: Wednesday: 12 noon to 7 pm Thursday, Friday 6 am to 7 pm NO SAME-DAY REGISTRATION. YOU MUST REGISTER THE DAY PRIOR TO YOUR RACE DAY before 7 pm.
Important Registration Information:
- All fields are limited to 180. Teams are limited to 10. Please register early.
- For NRC RACE or HOST HOUSING information please contact Kendra Wenzel at proroad@seaotterclassic.com no later than March 31, 2008.
- No phone or faxed entries will be accepted.
- You must enter online or on-site, on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- All participants will sign a waiver/release form at registration. Those under 18-years-old require a parent's or guardian's signature.
- USA Cycling Rules apply - USA Cycling sanctioned.
- Competitor age is determined by the age of the rider on Dec. 31, 2008. Each registered athlete will receive one (1) Festival Pass for each event you register for.
- SORRY, ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS.
General Event Information:
- All participants MAY receive a Sea Otter SWAG bag with goodies from various sponsors. Medals will be awarded 5 deep.
- ANSI- or Snell-approved helmets required for all events.
- Race numbers may not be cut, folded, altered or defaced in any way.
- All USA Cycling rules apply - the NRC is USA Cycling sanctioned.
- Preliminary Results will be available on www.seaotterclassic.com after Monday April 21, 2008. Final results will be made available on or before Friday April 25, 2008.
- Sorry, no pets allowed at the event or in the camping areas (per Monterey County Parks Department regulation).
- Merchandise can be picked up at Athlete Registration.
- All information is subject to change. Please verify your start times and other critical event issues on the website at www.seaotterclassic.com and also onsite at Athlete Registration.
Awards Information:
- This is an NRC race - $23,000. cash purse will be awarded. Prize breakdown posted no later than February 1, 2008.
- Athletes must be in attendance at the awards ceremony.
- Cash Awards will not be mailed - NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Please check at Athlete Registration for times of Award Presentations. All times are approximate. Presentations are subject to delays by other Awards and Ceremonies occurring at the same stage.
- All protests must be filed with a designated Official within 15 minutes of preliminary results posting. All signed, official results are FINAL. After competition day, no protests will be accepted, nor will results be adjusted.
