Circuit racers will experience the thrill of riding the Laguna Seca Raceway with thousands of fans cheering them on. The course includes a challenging 300-foot climb and an awe-inspiring descent down the world-famous Corkscrew. This event is part of the NCNCA BAR Series and the Lance Armstrong Junior Olympic Series.

  • Entry fee: $40 (add $20 late fee after March 28, 2010)
  • Entry fee includes an Athlete Hospitality Bag plus a four day Festival Pass valued at $30.  Parking is FREE all week.

*The 2010 Sea Otter Classic has expanded the Road Circuit event to include a special Collegiate Open category.   While this is not a USAC Sanctioned Collegiate event, and a Collegiate USAC license is not applicable to participation, it is required that you be a current member of a Collegiate Cycling Team or Club.  The category is "Open" so will not break out the A/B/C/D collegiate groups (women are eligible to race in this category but will not be scored/ranked separately from the men).  A $10 USAC event permit will be added to the special reduced entry rate for collegiate category participants during the online registration process.  If you present a valid annual "regular" 2010 USA Cycling Race license at the time of packet pick-up, you can receive a refund of the $10.00 paid. 

Important Registration Information:

  • NO SAME-DAY REGISTRATION. YOU MUST REGISTER THE DAY PRIOR TO YOUR RACE DAY by 6 pm.
  • Pre-Registered athletes can pick-up numbers up to one hour before race start times.
  • USA Cycling sanctioned. Riders must present a current USA Cycling license at registration.
  • Cat 5 racers MUST purchase a USA Cycling one-day or possess an annual license when registering onsite . Please allow for extra time at Athlete Registration.
  • No phone or faxed entries will be accepted.
  • You must enter online or onsite on a first-come first-serve basis.
  • Competitor age is determined by the age of the rider on Dec. 31, 2010.
  • ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS.

General Event Rules:

  • Category 5 fields are limited. Please register early. In the case of small fields, categories/classes may be combined.
  • All participants will sign a waiver/release form at registration. Those racers under 18 years old will require a parent's or guardian's signature - who must be present at Athlete Registration. 
  • ANSI or Snell approved helmets required for all events.
  • Race numbers may not be cut, folded, altered or defaced in any way.
  • All USA Cycling apply - this event is USA Cycling sanctioned.
  • Sorry, no pets allowed at the event or in the camping areas. (per regulation of the Monterey County Parks Department).
  • All information in this program is subject to change. Please verify start times and other critical event issues when checking in at registration.
  • ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS.

Awards Information:

  • All podium winners (top five in each racing category) will receive a medal. Podium winners may receive prizes from Sea Otter sponsors.
  • Awards presentations on the Main  Awards Stage approximately one hour after race finish.
  • All protests must be filed with the designated PROTEST OFFICIAL within 15 minutes of preliminary TOP TEN Awards results posting. Complete preliminary results will be posted, within three hours of competition completion, onsite on or near the Main Awards Stage and available on www.seaotterclassic.com on Monday April 19, 2010.
  • All signed, official TOP TEN results are FINAL - NO EXCEPTIONS. 
  • VERY IMPORTANT - After competition day, only protests outside of the TOP TEN MAY be accepted, and results may be adjusted up until the FINAL Official posting on or before Friday, April 23, 2010.
  • Athletes must be in attendance at the Awards Ceremony to accept prizes.
  • Complete FINAL Official results will be posted and made available on www.seaotterclassic.com no later than Friday April 23, 2010.
  • Awards will not be mailed - NO EXCEPTIONS.
