Sea Otter and the Bureau of Land Management - a Model Partnership
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) welcomes you to Fort Ord and the Monterey Peninsula and asks that you tread lightly on the land when you compete and train for the Sea Otter Classic. As the premier conservation agency In the United States, the BLM sustains the health, diversity, and productivity of public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations. To preserve these trails at Fort Ord for future riders, please stay on marked trails only and avoid cutting across switchbacks, and braking and riding over open terrain. Trails can be damaged by riders using them when they are wet and muddy. When training for competitive events at Fort Ord, always remember to share the trail and yield to other users. To learn more about these spectacular lands, contact the BLM at (831) 394-8314 or visit www.blm.us.gov. We hope you enjoy your visit!
