The SRAM Dual Slalom is a classic. The single best Dual Slalom race in the world, the legendary Sea Otter course includes massive berms, tricky off-cambers, jumps and rhythm sections to challenge riders and thrill spectators. Course builder and designer Keith Defiebre has prepared a few new surprises for 2010.

  • Professional Athlete Entry fee: $55 (add $20 late fee after March 21, 2010)
  • Non-Pro Entry fee $50 (add $20 late fee after March 21, 2010)
  • Entry fee includes an Athlete Hospitality Bag plus a four-day Festival Pass valued at $30. Parking is FREE all week.

    On Site Registration and Packet Pick-up Hours:
    Wednesday 12 noon to 6 pm
    Thursday, Friday, Saturday 7am to 6pm

    NO DAY OF RACE REGISTRATION - NO EXCEPTIONS


Important Registration Information:

  • This event is USA Cycling-sanctioned. Riders must present a current ANNUAL USA Cycling license at registration if they are registering as a Professional or Cat 1. One day race permits are available during online registration process or on-site for $10.00 for Cat 3 and Cat 2 racers. Save time and purchase an Annual Racing License from USA Cycling at www.usacycling.org
  • All Juniors (except Junior Cat 1), Cat 3, and Cat 2 racers must, at minimum, purchase a one-day race permit (either online or on-site) - please allow for extra time at Athlete Registration if you are purchasing a one day race racing permit.
  • No phone or faxed entries will be accepted.
  • You must enter online before April 11, 2010 or on-site (after April 14, 2010), on a first-come first-served basis.
  • Competitor age is determined by the age of the rider on December 31, 2010.

General Event Rules:

  • All fields are limited. Please register early. In the case of small fields, any categories/classes may be combined.
  • All participants will sign a waiver/release form at registration. Those under 18 years old require a parent's or guardian's signature who must be present at Athlete Registration.
  • ANSI or Snell approved helmets required for all events.
  • Race numbers may not be cut, folded, altered or defaced in any way - if race numbers are the athlete will be disqualified and fined.
  • All USA Cycling rules apply.
  • Sorry, no pets allowed at the event or in the camping areas (Monterey County Parks Department regulation).
  • All information is subject to change. Please check www.seaotterclassic.com frequently.
  • Please verify your start times and other critical event issues when checking in at registration.
  • SORRY, ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS.

Awards:

  • All podium winners may receive a Sea Otter SWAG-BAG containing goodies from various sponsors. All podium winners (top four in each racing category) will receive a medal.
  • Professional Athletes will recieve cash prizes. $4500 total cash prize purse that includes the traditional $20. to the winner of each run in the earlier rounds of 32 and 16.
  • Awards presentations will be immediately after all the Dual Slalom Finals.
  • Top ten preliminary results will be posted within 15 minutes of competition completion. Any and all protests must be filed within 15 minutes of results posting with the designated PROTEST Official. Complete preliminary race results will be available within three hours of race completion and be available on www.seaotterclassic.com immediately after the event on Monday April 19, 2010.
  • Final Results will be posted and available on www.seaotterclassic.com no later than Friday April 23, 2010.
  • All protests must be filed with the designated PROTEST Official within 15 minutes of preliminary TOP TEN Awards results posting. No protests will be accepted AFTER RACE DAY - NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • All signed, official results are FINAL.
  • Athletes must be in attendance at the awards ceremony to receive prizes.
  • Awards will not be mailed - NO EXCEPTIONS.
