Thursday April 15, 2010

Criterium racers will experience the thrill of racing a 1km section of the Laguna Seca Raceway between Turns 2 and 11. The course includes challenging, technical turns and is not entirely flat.

  • Entry fee: $35 (add $20 late fee after March 21, 2010)
  • Entry fee includes an Athlete Hospitality Bag plus a four-day Festival Pass valued at $30.  Parking is FREE all week.

Category 4 Men  8:00am - 45minutes

Category 4/5 Masters Men 35+  8:55am - 45 minutes

Category 4/5 Masters Men 45+ 9:50am - 45 minutes

Category 3 Men 11:00am - 50 minutes

Category 1/2/3 Master Men 35+ 12:00pm - 50 minutes

Category 1/2/3 Master Men 45+ 1:00pm - 50 minutes

Master Women (all ages) Category 4 Women 2:00pm - 35 minutes

Category 1/2/3 Women 2:45pm - 50 minutes

Category1/2 Men 4:00pm - 60 minutes

On-site Registration and Packet Pick-up Hours

- Wednesday 12 noon to 6pm

- Thursday  7 am to 8:30am

NO SAME-DAY REGISTRATION - NO EXCEPTIONS.

 

Important Registration Information:

  • NO SAME-DAY REGISTRATION. YOU MUST REGISTER THE DAY PRIOR TO YOUR RACE DAY by 6pm.
  • Pre-Registered athletes can pick up numbers up to one hour before race start times.
  • USA Cycling sanctioned. Riders must present a current USA Cycling license at registration.
  • USA Cycling Cat 5,  MUST purchase a USA Cycling one-day race permit or possess an annual license when registering on-site. Please allow for extra time at Athlete Registration.
  • No phone or faxed entries will be accepted.
  • You must enter online or onsite on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Competitor age is determined by the age of the rider on Dec. 31, 2010.
  • ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS.
  • Prior to April 11, 2010, requests for Event and Category changes within an Event will be complimentary and can be done by emailing gail@virtualroster.com. You will be responsible for any increase in entry fee.  There will be no refunds for reduced entry fees.
    After April 11th, Event change requests will only be accepted on-site at registration.  Registration opens at 12 noon on April 14th.  A $10.00 fee will be charged for each Event change. Category changes within an Event must be done on-site. You will be responsible for any increase in entry fee.  There will be no refunds for reduced entry fees.

General Event Rules:

  • Category 5 fields are limited. Please register early. In the case of small fields, categories/classes may be combined.
  • All participants will sign a waiver/release form at registration. Those racers under 18 years old will require a parent's or guardian's signature - who must be present at Athlete Registration. 
  • ANSI or Snell approved helmets required for all events.
  • Race numbers may not be cut, folded, altered or defaced in any way.
  • All USA Cycling apply - this event is USA Cycling sanctioned.
  • Sorry, no pets allowed at the event or in the camping areas. (per regulation of the Monterey County Parks Department).
  • All information in this program is subject to change. Please verify start times and other critical event issues when checking in at registration.
  • SORRY, ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS.

Awards Information:

  • All podium winners (top five in each racing category) will receive a medal. Podium winners may also receive prizes from Sea Otter sponsors.
  • Awards presentations on the Main  Awards Stage approximately one hour after race finish.
  • All protests must be filed with the designated PROTEST OFFICIAL within 15 minutes of preliminary TOP TEN Awards results posting. Complete preliminary results will be posted, within three hours of competition completion, onsite on or near the Main Awards Stage and available on www.seaotterclassic.com on Monday April 19, 2010.
  • All signed, official TOP TEN results are FINAL - NO EXCEPTIONS. 
  • VERY IMPORTANT - After competition day, only protests outside of the TOP TEN MAY be accepted, and results MAY be adjusted up until the FINAL Official posting on or before Friday, April 23, 2010.
  • Athletes must be in attendance at the Awards Ceremony to accept prizes.
  • Complete FINAL Official results will be posted and made available on www.seaotterclassic.com no later than Friday April 23, 2010.
  • Awards will not be mailed - NO EXCEPTIONS.
