VIEW MOREVIEW LESSCross-country is a wave start race categorized by ability and age group. It is held on the Fort Ord National Monument trails – using a small part of the Laguna Seca Recreation Area – with technical descents, rocky paths, and obstacles which riders must complete.

Downhill
VIEW MOREVIEW LESSSea Otter Downhill is a race against the clock in which the rider negotiates a succession of fast and technical passages, usually within 2-3 minutes.

The 100% Dual Slalom includes massive berms, tricky off-cambers, jumps, and rhythm sections to challenge riders and thrill spectators.

Enduro
VIEW MOREVIEW LESSEnduro is a form of racing with timed downhill sections of trail and a number of untimed uphill transfer stages that might have time limits to complete. Four timed stages take full advantage of the unique terrain of the Fort Ord National Monument
Field limit is 600 – no waitlist.

Road Race
VIEW MOREVIEW LESSRoad Races will start off-venue on Barloy Canyon Road and continue down to a new Fort Ord race loop. After completing the required laps of the loop for your category, you will climb back up Barloy Canyon Road, to its crest, for a mountaintop finish.

Description
The BULLS eMTB Race ePowered by Bosch is a race held over an undulating circuit – using part of the famous Laguna Seca Recreation Area, rocky paths, and obstacles. Pro racers must complete 5 laps, all other categories must complete 3 laps or a maximum of 80 minutes.

Only eMTBs that meet the following California Vehicle Code specifications for a Class 1 electric bicycle are allowed to race:
- only bikes operated by the following systems may race: Bosch, Brose, Shimano, or Yamaha
- includes fully operable pedals
- includes an electric motor of less than 750 watts that provides assistance only when the rider is pedaling
- the motor ceases to provide assistance when the bicycle reaches a speed of 20 miles per hour
- the bicycle does not include a throttle
All eMTBs must pass a technical inspection no later than 30 minutes prior to race start time. Top finisher’s bikes will be inspected after the finish of their race. An inspection corral will be located near the start/finish of the race at the Tire Bridge.
Demo eMTBs may be available from BULLS and Bosch for use during the race. When registering online for the race, you can request to be contacted by BULLS or Bosch for information regarding their demo program.
